- Do I own the equipment?
- Yes. Kits credit the full equipment total. After install, the panel and sensors are yours. Monitoring is the monthly bill.
- Why do kits require a contract?
- That’s how equipment is included. 36 or 60 month monitoring agreement. Monthly rate is the same on both. Custom systems can stay month-to-month at full equipment price.
- What if I cancel early?
- Early termination is $300 with a 36 month monitoring agreement and $500 with a 60 month monitoring agreement. Month-to-month custom systems have no ETF.
- Is there an activation fee?
- No. City alarm permits: we cover year one on contract plans. Month-to-month customers pay $25 at booking or to the technician.
- Can I add cameras later?
- Yes. Sentry and Premium include video. Essential and Advanced stay security-only — build a custom system if you want cameras without a kit upgrade.
- What about DIY?
- Custom systems can skip professional installation. We still recommend we install the panel. Kits include an installation rate.
